Hayakawa Coffee

I had many excellent coffees during my five months in Japan, but Hayakawa Coffee Coffee in Chiyoda City Tokyo, truly stood out. Perhaps it was especially memorable because I visited on my last full day in Tokyo before heading back to Germany; nevertheless, it felt special.

I usually prefer drip or immersion-brewed coffee, but the Americano I had at Hayakawa was probably the best coffee I have ever had. It was fruity, crisp, and clean. The barista who served me was a true artisan, clearly proud of their craft.

Can’t wait to be back in April 2026.
